The legend of Bella the Deer lives on with her iron statue in downtown Pulaski

Bella’s statue, that is.
“She’s all decked out. She has a wreath with a red bow around her neck,” said Jan Tighe, the mayor in this Oswego County village.
The 42-inch iron statue and granite base, dedicated to the village’s celebrated, tame white-tailed deer that captured the hearts of many when she was alive, was quietly put in place atop a concrete pad in late September on a grassy patch of land donated by Community Bank. It’s located in a highly visible area in the downtown, just off the sidewalk, a few doors down from the community theater.
