THE list of candidates hoping to get the region’s top job has been published.
Nine candidates are vying for the position of Greater Manchester Mayor, a ‘seat’ which is currently taken by Andy Burnham, who will be fighting to hold on to it for another term.
Greater Manchester Combined Authority — which is headed by the Metro Mayor — released the list today.
The candidates are Nick Buckley for Reform UK; Andy Burnham for Labour and Co-operative Party, Kathryn Evans for the Conservatives, Jonathan Farmer, Independent, Jane Horrocks for the Green Party, Edward Lepori for the Lib-Dems, Alec Marvel, Stephen Morris for the English Democrats and John Sutcliffe.
