Thane city is showing positive signs with lesser COVID-19 cases and more recoveries after recording a huge spike in April.
For the first time in over two months, the cases have dropped below 300.
On Tuesday, the city saw a spike of 290 against 388 cases on Monday.
Whereas, 723 people were discharged against 685 a day ago, taking the number of recoveries to 1,17,866. The recovery rate stands at 94 per cent.
However, eight people also lost their lives. The overall toll count stands at 1,784.
The active cases too have come down to 5,155.
On a positive note, eight wards reported new cases below 40.
Majiwada-Manpada ward which was reporting new cases in three digits has reported 77 cases, followed by 52 in
