Texas lets residents unmask, but many are keeping covered as orders meant to slow virus end
Although a statewide mandate ended Wednesday, many stores and other businesses aren’t making any changes yet.

After nearly a year, Texans were officially allowed to gather unmasked Wednesday as a statewide mask mandate ended on the anniversary of Dallas County’s first confirmed case of the novel coronavirus.
