Muscat: Worshippers in Oman will no longer be able to pray at temples and churches in the country until the foreseeable future, as part of measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.
It has been decided to temporarily bar people from entering these places of worship, and in the meantime, people are requested to pray with their families at home.
“The faithful are hence advised to avoid any group prayer meetings in private or public places, including homes and rented halls, encouraging them to stay at home and pray with their family members,” said a circular issued by Fr. Raul Ramos, the parish priest of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruwi.
