According to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation 2013 annual report, tourists from China and Japan spent $102bn and $27.9bn respectively in 2012 on holidays abroad, with Chinese tourists topping the international tourism spend that year.
Speaking to Muscat Daily, HE Maitha bint Saif al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Tourism, said Oman was targeting potential tourism markets and had 10 offices representing 14 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia and the Gulf. ....
