A teacher in Surat, India, was caught on CCTV brutally beating a three-and-a-half-year-old student. The incident came to light after the footage circulated on social media. The teacher, Jashoda Khokhariya, struck the girl approximately 35 times within two minutes. The girl's mother lodged a complaint, leading to Khokhariya's arrest. The child suffered swelling and red marks on her back. The school promptly dismissed the teacher, and the district education officer issued a show-cause notice to the school.
