A teacher in Surat, India, was caught on CCTV brutally beating a three-and-a-half-year-old student. The incident came to light after the footage circulated on social media. The teacher, Jashoda Khokhariya, struck the girl approximately 35 times within two minutes. The girl s mother lodged a complaint, leading to Khokhariya s arrest. The child suffered swelling and red marks on her back. The school promptly dismissed the teacher, and the district education officer issued a show-cause notice to the school.
