Howard Donald is famous for being in Take That, but there’s nothing “boy band” about his very grown-up car collection.
The Lancastrian singer, who turns 53 today, started with an Anglo-French pocket rocket. Now, as an elder statesman of pop, he’s revealed a very deep love for large Mercedes
bahnstormers and featherweight racing Porsches, in which he’s competed at events such as the Goodwood Members’ Meeting.
When Howard joined Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams to audition for a new, Manchester, all-male vocal group in 1990, he had to take time off from his job of painting cars.
