Suspect in Remington murder has long record

Authorities have released the identification of a suspect in Thursday nightâs murder of a 24-year-old man near Remington.
A wanted poster placed online around 3:30 a.m. Sunday depicts Martin Anuar Martinez, 30, âwanted for murder.â
Mr. Martinez, 5-feet-9 and 170 pounds, âis considered armed and dangerous,â according to the Fauquier County Sheriffâs Office.
Listed in 2017 court records as a Manassas resident, Mr. Martinez has an extensive criminal record. He pleaded guilty to robbery, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony in 2016.
