Suspect in high-speed chase faces long list of allegations
VALLEJO — The man who led law enforcement agencies on a high-speed chase Wednesday down westbound Interstate 80 has been identified as an Oakland resident who was at “the center of several investigations that spanned three counties.”
Webster Johnson, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday, is suspected in crimes that occurred in Solano, Contra Costa and Alameda counties.
Johnson, 30, was booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of attempted murder, being an accessory to a crime, first-degree robbery, evading police with disregard for public safety, two counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and six counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a first responder, all felonies, along with suspected felony and misdemeanor probation violations.
