MARSHALL  Area health care providers are continuing to distribute COVID-19 vaccine to essential workers and high-risk populations, as Minnesota passes the one-million mark for vaccine doses given. While local vaccination efforts don’t make up a large portion of those total doses, hundreds of people in the six-county region have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, providers said. The Minnesota Department of Health reported Friday that 1,016,210 vaccine doses have been administered. A total of 728,081 Minnesotans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 286,543 had received both doses.

Suspect in high-speed chase faces long list of allegations VALLEJO The man who led law enforcement agencies on a high-speed chase Wednesday down westbound Interstate 80 has been identified as an Oakland resident who was at “the center of several investigations that spanned three counties.” Webster Johnson, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday, is suspected in crimes that occurred in Solano, Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Johnson, 30, was booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of attempted murder, being an accessory to a crime, first-degree robbery, evading police with disregard for public safety, two counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and six counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a first responder, all felonies, along with suspected felony and misdemeanor probation violations.
