NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â The suspect accused of shooting and killing a Metro Schools employee now faces a federal gun possession charge.
According to a release from U.S. Attorney Don Cochranâs office, 28-year-old Robert Rasean Smith was charged on Tuesday with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Metro police said Smith is accused of killing 31-year-old Rasheed Walker outside the Wireless Z store on Dr. D.B. Todd Junior Boulevard back in November. Walker was a teacher's aide at Cora Howe School for more than a decade.
