The study shows 3.2 million people in total continue to listen to the radio daily.
Just 8 percent are listening through a digital device, whether it's a phone, a computer or a smart speaker.
Digital listening is most prominent in 15 to 24 year olds at 16 percent.
While 1 in 5 adults have downloaded a radio station app on their smartphone.
