Substitute teacher jailed on suspicion of child porn crimes

A San Diego substitute teacher who also serves as a Boy Scout leader was arrested this week on suspicion of possessing and transmitting thousands of child pornography images, authorities reported July 28.

Investigators with the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force took 31-year-old Andrew Jared Primes into custody Tuesday, July 27, said Sgt. Garrick Nugent, commander of the investigative agency.
Primes has worked for the Poway Unified School District and San Dieguito Union High School District, and has served as an instructor for the Boys Scouts of America Fiesta Island Summer Camp.
