PESHAWAR: Students of private medical colleges have demanded of the government to change the centralised admission policy or approve 100 per cent increase in admission quota for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday, a group of students led by Javed Sattar, Umer Farooq and Shafiq said that Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) had introduced a centralised admission policy, which had increased problems for the students belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Referring to the population and number of medical and dental colleges in Punjab and other provinces, the students said that in open merit policy it would be very difficult for the KP students to get admission even in local medical and dental colleges due to centralised policy.
