The Ward County State’s Attorney’s Office filed to dismiss a Class B felony armed robbery charge against Larry Dominique McLean, 29, of New Town, after it learned that he died on Jan. 28.
McLean and his co-defendant, Tyquan Markeez Graham, 22, were both accused of robbing a man in the Sports on Tap parking lot in the early morning hours of July 26, 2020. McLean allegedly placed the victim in a chokehold from behind while Graham stole a firearm from the man’s vehicle. The two men then drove off in their vehicle. About an hour later, Graham was involved in a shooting incident in downtown Minot. Graham was shot and wounded in his right arm and hand. His alleged assailant, William Neal Lucy II, allegedly pistol-whipped Graham and shot him before Lucy himself was wounded. Lucy was charged in connection with the shooting and also with intent to deliver ecstasy and cocaine and is in custody at the Ward County Jail.
