Stage set for India's first election 'Open Debate'? Shashi Tharoor accepts Rajeev Chandrasekhar's challenge

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram is gearing up for an unprecedented electoral contest between the serving Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor of the Indian National Congress and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajeev Chandrasekhar, also a minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet. 

Chandrasekhar recently said that he is ready to debate with Tharoor over development in Thiruvananthapuram, a Lok Sabha constituency which territorially covers most of the Kerala capital.
