St. James Parish Christmas Eve Bonfires Canceled For 2020 Due To COVID-19

The organizers of the St. James Parish Christmas Eve Bonfires are canceling this year's event because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Unified Command Group in St. James Parish confirmed yesterday that they had decided to cancel due to COVID-19 safety concerns and positivity rates above 16%.
Parish President Pete Dufresne is scheduled to hold a Facebook Live discussion today to provide more details on the cancellation, refunds, and tearing down previously built bonfires.
