There are fewer traffic incidents to report Wednesday, but roads remain slick in places as temperatures stay well below -20 C in Calgary.
The polar vortex continues to hang over the prairies, and temperatures are forecast to remain below -20 C until Sunday when they are expected to climb all the way to – 11 C.

An extreme cold warning remains in effect for the entire province, although Environment Canada says there may be some moderation in temperature during daylight hours. Wind chill could make it feel like -40 C to -55 C.
