Clemson, S.C. — The ACC announced on Tuesday, March 14 that freshman attacker Sofia Chepenik was named co-offensive ACC player of the week. Chepenik is the first Clemson lacrosse player in program history to earn this honor. Last week Sofia Chepenik helped lead the Tigers to three victories, beating Longwood 21-3, Campbell 18-7, and Duke 11-10. Chepenik totaled eight goals and two assists on the week. This award comes after Chepenik led Clemson to defeat No. 13 Duke, scoring four goals in the second half, including both the game tying and game winning goals. Along with Chepenik, Boston College’s Jenn Medjid was also named co-offensive ACC player of the week. The two will face off against each other Thursday, March 16 at 4:00 when they play each other at Historic Riggs Field.
