WAYNE TWP. Jennifer Sanders wanted to get some work done before joining her husband, Ray, for their weekly Dunkin Donuts run. She sat down at her desk while he went to take a shower.
Their daughter Isabel Casto came out of the basement and took a seat in her mother’s office. Her brother Jered Sanders walked in with a bowl of oatmeal and plopped on the floor to play with the family dogs, Otis and Tinkerbell, miniature schnauzers.
A typical Sunday family scene, it was the calm before the storm.
Around 11 a.m. a large explosion rocked the house, lifting it off its foundation. The blast pushed the front window into the front yard and toppled the furniture.
