WAYNE TWP. Jennifer Sanders wanted to get some work done before joining her husband, Ray, for their weekly Dunkin Donuts run. She sat down at her desk while he went to take a shower. Their daughter Isabel Casto came out of the basement and took a seat in her mother’s office. Her brother Jered Sanders walked in with a bowl of oatmeal and plopped on the floor to play with the family dogs, Otis and Tinkerbell, miniature schnauzers. A typical Sunday family scene, it was the calm before the storm. Around 11 a.m. a large explosion rocked the house, lifting it off its foundation. A major caveat: I’m certain I’ve missed some great music, as I found out even after publishing my 2019 thoughts. In the craziness of an election year, I didn’t make as much time for music as I normally do. My most-played album of the year was probably the instrumental Drop Shadow from Eyeliner, New Zealand’s greatest and oddest treasure.
