We all know that we should be getting 8 hours of sleep per night, but often it's hard to hit that expectation.
We try our best to get the hours we need but when we were younger it was the opposite, with children constantly trying to avoid sleep.
With many reasons behind why kids avoid sleep, why did we suddenly start to crave it when we hit teenage and adults years?
Gemma Paech, Cojoint Senior Lecturer from The University of Newcastle's School of Medicine and Public Health discusses.
