SHC asks govt, NICVD to submit affidavits on Khursheed Shah’s alleged illness

SUKKUR: The Sindh High Court, circuit bench, Sukkur, has ordered the administration of NICVD to submit an affidavit regarding the alleged illness of PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah, who has been under treatment for two years after the institute was declared a sub-jail for him.
The SHC Sukkur bench had sought a reply from the administration of NICVD Sukkur, regarding the illness and treatment of Khursheed Shah, and directed the chief secretary Sindh to submit an affidavit by today (Wednesday) in person.
The court also asked the NICVD to submit the record of other patients with the same illness, who were treated in the hospital and determine the period of their treatments. Upon non-provision of the affidavit, the court also ordered the administrator of the NICVD to leave the proceedings and come with an undertaking, which was submitted later. The court remarked that if personal affidavits were not submitted, then the Sindh chief minister and chief secretary would be summoned.
