Prolonged stay at NICVD: SHC adjourns hearing against Khursheed Shah

SUKKUR: The Sindh High Court (SHC), Sukkur Bench, on Wednesday adjourned hearing of a case against PPP’s MNA Syed Khursheed Shah over his prolonged stay at the NICVD for his alleged treatment.
The petition against the PPP MNA was filed by PTI leader Syed Tahir Shah. The reports said on the request of defence counsel, the SHC Sukkur Bench had accepted the application and adjourned the case till August 4.
Talking to media persons, the PTI leader said he had filed a petition against Khursheed Shah for prolonging his stay at NICVD, asking the Sindh government how many other criminals with corruption references of billions of rupees were provided such luxurious detention in the past two years. He also asked the Sindh government to disclose Shah’s diseases and treatments. ....

SUKKUR: The Sindh High Court, circuit bench, at Sukkur on Wednesday adjourned the petition hearing till July 08, against PPP leader Khursheed Shah’s illness and stay at the NICVD Sukkur, which was declared sub-jail.
Reports said the SHC Sukkur had ordered the concerned authorities, including Additional Advocate General Shafi Muhammad Chandio and Administrator NICVD Dr Naveed, to submit their reports on Khursheed Shah’s alleged illness and reasons to declare NICVD’s floor as sub-jail for the convict of Rs1.23 billion corruption reference. It is pertinent to mention that the PTI Sindh leader Syed Tahir Shah filed a case in SHC Sukkur, challenging the alleged illness of Khursheed Shah and his stay in NICVD Sukkur for the past two years, which was declared a sub-jail for him. ....

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday rejected reports submitted from the Sindh government, NICVD, and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding the prolonged stay of PPP MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah at the cardiac hospital after being declared as sub-jail.
The SHC expressed its resentment over the prolonged stay of Khursheed Shah in the NICVD and remarked that the home department has unnecessarily declared the health facility as a sub-jail.
The additional advocate general apprised the court that the NICVD was declared a sub-jail for Khursheed Shah on the directives of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. ....

SHC asks govt, NICVD to submit affidavits on Khursheed Shah’s alleged illness

SUKKUR: The Sindh High Court, circuit bench, Sukkur, has ordered the administration of NICVD to submit an affidavit regarding the alleged illness of PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah, who has been under treatment for two years after the institute was declared a sub-jail for him.
The SHC Sukkur bench had sought a reply from the administration of NICVD Sukkur, regarding the illness and treatment of Khursheed Shah, and directed the chief secretary Sindh to submit an affidavit by today (Wednesday) in person.
The court also asked the NICVD to submit the record of other patients with the same illness, who were treated in the hospital and determine the period of their treatments. Upon non-provision of the affidavit, the court also ordered the administrator of the NICVD to leave the proceedings and come with an undertaking, which was submitted later.
