A MAN has been given another chance to obtain a pre-sentence report – after he failed to get the letter from the probation service in time.
Manjit Multani, 41, of Bailbrook Lane, Bath, had been expected to be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on Friday for assault causing actual bodily harm and witness intimidation in Trowbridge. The offences date back to 2018 and 2019.
But Alex Daymond, defending, asked Recorder Roger Harris to consider adjourning the case for a further opportunity for his client to be interviewed by the probation service for a pre-sentence report.
