Eric Scott, convicted of manslaughter in the March 2020 death of Anna Grogan Brown in April, will learn his fate Friday.
Madison County Circuit Judge Claude Hundley, who presided over the four-day trial after Jackson County Circuit Judges John Graham and Brent Benson recused themselves due to Scottâs involvement in the countyâs drug court system, is expected to sentence Scott Friday, May 28, at 1:30 p.m.
Scott is facing 10-20 years in state prison.
On March 9, 2020, authorities found Brown deceased from a gunshot wound inside a residence on County Road 36 in Hollywood. According to court testimony, Brown was shot into her left hip, severing an artery in her left leg. The bullet exited her left leg and entered her right leg, severing a vein.
