SHELBY CO., Tenn. (WMC) - The Shelby Co. Health Department has reported 106 new COVID-19 cases and two new deaths. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 80,055 coronavirus cases have been reported and 1,529 deaths. There are currently 1,151 active COVID-19 cases in Shelby County.
More than 1 million people have been tested for coronavirus countywide.
The health department has also been monitoring COVID-19 cases surrounding Shelby County.

SHELBY CO., Tenn. (WMC) - Tennessee reported nine more COVID-19 deaths Sunday and 420 new cases.
The state’s had 783,904 cases since the start of the pandemic, according to the Tennessee Department of Health, and 11,556 deaths.
There are currently 13,323 active cases in Tennessee with 759,025 cases now deemed inactive or recovered.
TDH reports 14.28% of the state’s residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state has administered more than 1.6 million doses as of Monday afternoon.
