SARANAC, Mich. — A house suffered a total loss after a fire Sunday night in Saranac.
The Saranac Community Fire Department was dispatched about 10:10 p.m. to the fire at Peck Lake Road and Morrison Lake Road.
Firefighters saw heavy fire and smoke on three sides of the home and were only able to make a defensive attack, according to the department.

The homeowners were not injured.
