I DID MY FIRST RACE WHEN I WAS ABOUT SEVEN I RAN A 5K WITH MY DAD AND HE’S REALLY THE ONE THAT GOT ME INTO RUNNING THE REST AS THEY SAY IS HISTORY MIA. LOTHMAN HAS BEEN LACING UP HER SNEAKERS AND RUNNING LAPS AROUND THE COMPETITION FOR MORE THAN HALF HER LIFE. GOES RACING TO A VICTORY AS THE GATORADE GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY PLAYER OF THE YEAR A LOT OF EMOTIONS, BUT IT WAS REALLY COOL AND I COULDN’T BE MORE GRATEFUL TO GET THIS AWARD. IT’S AWESOME. IT’S WORD LOTHMAN WON AFTER CLAIMING FIVE OF SEVEN MEETS AGAINST IN-STATE COMPETITION AND PLACING SECOND IN THE OTHER TWO. SHE ALSO EARNED A FIFTH PLACE FINISH AT THE NATIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPIC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE THING THAT I LOVE ABOUT MIA IS OBVIOUSLY SHE’S A HARD WORKER BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT WORRIES. SHE’S GOTTEN THIS FARM HER WORK ETHIC DISCIPLINE. JUST ATTENDANCE ATTITUDE. IT’S AMAZING, BUT THE HONOR IS AWARDED FOR MORE THAN ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN HIS OR HER LANES. THE GATORADE AWARD DOESN’T COMPASS WAY MORE THAN JUST ATHLETICS AND ENCOMPASSES COMMUNITY SERVICE GRADES PARTICIPATION AND EXTRACURRICULARS AND ME AS INTEREST EXTEND FAR BEYOND RIGHT HERE ON THE TRACKS. YOU PLAYS THEOLA IN THE ORCHESTRA ANCEST. SHE LOVES TO DRAW PLUS GATORADE ATHLETES OF THE YEAR GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO AWARD A LOCAL SPORTS ORGANIZATION WITH A 1000 DOLLAR GRANT FOR WHICH MIA HAS CHOSEN HOLES ON THE RUN THE PROGRAM FOR GIRLS THAT WANT TO JUST DOESN’T HELP HELP SOME WITH RUNNING. JUST HELP THEM FLOURISH AS A PERSON BECAUSE I KNOW FOR ME THAT MADE ME WHO I AM KIND OF AND BEING ABLE TO GIVE THAT OPPORTUNITY TO YOUNG GIRLS. I JUST I FIND THAT AMAZING GIVING BACK TO THE SPORT THAT’S ALREADY AFFORDED HER SO MUCH. IT HAS MADE ME A STRONGER PERSON OVER WISE AND THOUGH I AM JUST LIKE A LITTLE PERSON. I’M I CAN BE PRETTY STRONG. AND SO I THINK IT’S JUST HELP ME AS A PERSON.
