Less than a week after Rochester set a daily snowfall record (2.8 inches on April 21), the forecast is looking more spring-like.
Monday will be clear, sunny and crisp throughout the greater Rochester area, with a high temperature of 50 degrees, said Liz Jurkowski, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
By midnight, however, a line of showers will move through, lasting two to three hours, she said.
It will be dry by 6 a.m. Tuesday. Clear skies are expected throughout the day, and the high should reach 65.
Wednesday will be the warmest day, Jurkowski said. An unseasonable high of 77 is expected — but so are showers and thunderstorms. (The record high for that date is 93, set in 1990.) There is a 20 percent chance of precipitation in the morning and a 50 percent chance in the afternoon, she said.
