Rochester Church Leaders Take on New Roles During Pandemic

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — To keep faith alive during the COVID-19 pandemic, those who lead took on roles they'd never had before.
Pastor Rickey Harvey recently returned to the sanctuary at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church for service, for the first time in more than a year.
“It’s good to be here, it’s good to be here, and we’re glad that you’re worshipping with us today,” said Pastor Harvey.
While the pews are empty, the message remains the same.
“My role has been to keep hope alive, because we’ve had some dark days, we’ve had some very hard times,” the pastor said.
