I was extremely pleased to see that my colleague and friend Dr Shakuntala Haraksingh Thilsted has won the
for her “groundbreaking research, critical insights and landmark innovations in developing holistic, nutrition-sensitive approaches to aquaculture and food systems."  I still remember sharing an office with Shakuntala in IFAD headquarters almost 25 years ago, and have held her in the highest esteem ever since.
