DOZENS of parents across north Cumbria failed to pay child maintenance during lockdown, according to recent figures.
Data from the Department of Work and Pensions show that one in four parents across Carlisle, Allerdale and Copeland failed to pay any child maintenance through the Collect and Pay service (CMS) between January and March.

Several readers suggested it was not due to lockdown that payments were not forthcoming.
