Public Holidays Falling On Weekends - Employment and HR

By virtue of Act IV of 2021, the National Holidays and Other
Public Holidays Act (Chapter 252) has been amended in February
2021.
Prior to the said amendments, when a National Holiday or a
Public Holiday falls on a Saturday or on a Sunday, this was not
deemed to be a public holiday for the purposes of entitling a
person to an additional day of vacation leave. This being said
however,
with effect from 1st January 2021 when a national
or a public holiday falls on a Saturday or on a Sunday,
