Prominent Ijaw leader and First Republic Minister of Information, Edwin Clark, has said it is unfair and provocative for the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to say the declaration by southern governors against open grazing is illegal.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement yesterday, had said that the ban by the governors was of questionable legality.
He also said the ban offered no solution to the crisis between farmers and herders.
Reacting, Clark wondered why there was no criticism from the Presidency when northern governors passed a similar resolution.
