Prescribed burns set to continue around Lake Tahoe

Depending on favorable conditions and weather, the Tahoe Fire & Fuels Team (TFFT) may continue widespread prescribed fire operations this week around the Lake Tahoe Basin. These prescribed fires are expected to continue as conditions allow to help land managers reduce hazardous fuels that can feed unwanted wildfires. Smoke will be present.
