COLOMBO (News 1st); Religious leaders have called for the vote on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill to be postponed.
Venerable Elle Gunawansa Thero and His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo speaking to reporters on Wednesday (19) called on the government to postpone this vote.
“Are the proposed amendments going to be included after the passage of the bill?,” said the Venerable Thero stressing that dual citizens should never be appointed to the Colombo Port City Commission.
