Post Foods agrees to settle sugary cereal class action with $15m fund
A judge has given a tentative green light to a $15m settlement between Post Foods and consumers who accused the CPG giant of misleading shoppers by falsely advertising sugary cereals as healthy. The news follows another high-profile settlement reached with Kellogg over similar claims.
In a Feb 24 order on the case,* Judge William H. Orrick gave preliminary approval to an agreement reached by the parties in January, and is set to provide class members (who bought selected Post cereals in the US between 2012 and 2020), with damages and injunctive relief.
