BARTOW — Polk County Public Schools is busy this summer, keeping up with student awards and also continuing to give out free meals to students in need.
According to the school district’s website, the district participates in the “Summer Breakspot” program, offering free meals to children while school is out.
Meals are available for all children 18 years old and under, as well as adult students in special education programs. Children do not have to be present at distribution sites to receive meals, but parents or guardians will need to show a form of ID for any child who is not there.
