Police seek witnesses to fatal Richmond shooting [East Bay Times]
Dec. 17—OAKLAND — Police said they are asking for the public’s help in finding witnesses and other information that might help solve a fatal shooting, authorities said Wednesday.
In a statement, police said officers responded to reports of ShotSpotter activity in the 300 block of 25th Street and learned while en route that a gunshot victim had been found.
Officers arrived to find a 60-year-old man sitting in his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite emergency life-saving measures from officers, Richmond Fire Department firefighters and paramedics, the man, later identified as Danny Mitchell, 60, of Richmond, was pronounced dead after being taken to a trauma center.
