SALEM
— A woman asked police at 10:10 a.m. Friday how to obtain a protection order and reported possible telephone harassment, saying her ex-husband has been contacting her and she wanted him to stop. Officers made contact with him and told him if he continues, he’ll face criminal charges.
— A barking dog was reported at 9:42 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Union Avenue. Officers could hear the dog and left a note for the owner, who wasn’t home.
— Police were called at 5:15 a.m. Friday to the 800 block of East Sixth Street where a woman reported possibly hearing someone in her basement. Officers checked the basement and the interior of the residence, but no one was found.
