MERIDEN — A teen charged in connection with a car break-ins apparently was attempting to flee by calling Lyft for a ride.  
Jensen Rodriguez, 18, of 459 Zion St., Hartford, was charged Sunday with sixth-degree larceny, possession of marijuana and simple trespass. 
Police, who have deployed “proactive patrols” following a recent rash of car break-ins, received a report of a suspicious vehicle early Sunday, Lt. John Mennone, police spokesman, said in a release Monday.
