Police in Virginia were barred in 2020 from stopping cars for a range of violations. Now lawmakers look to undo those changes.

The Republican-led House of Delegates approved the legislation on a 52-45 party line vote on Feb. 11. It now heads to the Democrat-controlled Senate, where it faces a steeper climb. The 15-member Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to take up the bill Monday.
