In October 2020, the Big 7 also included two Philippine islands as among the 50 most beautiful places in the world: Palawan, which ranked 8th, and Boracay, grabbing the 18th spot.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Philippines continues to retain its spot as a top travel destination in the world, with citations from different magazines and websites.
Recently, Condé Nast’s Traveler’s 25 Best Island Beaches in the World: 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards list included the White Beach in Boracay and El Nido in Palawan placed second and ninth.
According to Conde Nast’s Caitlin Morton, Boracay is a “screensaver brought to life, with dazzling white sand, so-clear-you-can-see-your-toes water and a lush jungle backdrop, available to anyone willing to make the journey.”
