ESCANABA — Public Health Delta & Menominee Counties provided an update on COVID-19 vaccinations Tuesday.
On Monday, March 1, PHDM received 1,000 first doses of the Moderna vaccine. All one thousand of the doses were shipped to the Delta County office. OSF St. Francis Hospital also received 100 doses of the Moderna Vaccine and redistributed the vaccine to PHDM.
On Thursday, March 4 the PHDM Menominee County office received 400 first doses of the Moderna vaccine. PHDM also received 700 second doses this week.
During the week of March 1 to March 7, PHDM held five clinics and administered 1,974 doses — 1,192 first doses and 782 second doses — to those 65 years of age and older, health care workers, first responders, jail staff and pre-K through 12 teachers. Two of the clinics were second dose clinics held at Bay College, one second dose clinic was held at the Menominee High School. One first dose clinic was held at Bay College and another at the Pullman House Supper Club in Menominee.
