Parag Desai, executive director of Gujarat Tea Processors and Packers and a key figure in the Wagh Bakri tea brand, tragically passed away after suffering a brain haemorrhage. Desai fell while trying to protect himself from a group of aggressive street dogs during his morning walk. He played a crucial role in the growth of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group, leading its sales, marketing, and exports division. Desai was also involved in sustainability projects and had interests in travel and wildlife.
