Planning for a $250 million redevelopment of roads in and around Palmerston North is the proposed top priority for transport spending in the Horizons region in the next 10 years.
The council’s regional transport committee on Monday recommended adoption of the draft regional land transport plan which will go out for public consultation next week.
It lists 19 significant projects for the region, setting priorities based on connectivity and access, safety, better travel options, reducing carbon emissions and resilience in the network.
