Firefighters responded shortly after 7 p.m. for the report of flames coming from the ceiling.
Responders found a light fixture on the fire around the middle of the mall along Park Avenue and Nazareth Road (Route 248) in Palmer Township, Deputy Fire Chief Jim Alercia told lehighvalleylive.com.
Store employees tried to douse the fire with an extinguisher, before firefighters were able to put it out completely and contain the fire to the fixture, Alercia said. The mall closes at 8 p.m. on a Wednesday.
